ART BY SIMI

I am an Australian-based, contemporary artist who loves to work with a variety of mediums such as resin, alcohol inks, acrylics and enamels.

My first job position after finishing school was as an artist assistant, preparing silk scarves and hatbands for painting and sale by the company 'Jacqui Silks'. I progressed from assisting with preparation for painting silk pieces for sale. Some of which, were exported to Japan.

After working in a variety of fields since and developing my artistic skills, I am now focusing on my art. I was invited by a fellow artist to take part in a collective art exhibition in 2015 at, 'Gatakers Artspace' Maryborough and looks forward to exhibiting again, further afield. 

2018 was a year of gaining more confidence as an artist, gaining experience selling art and networking at art & craft markets. For 2019 much the same but with a strong focus on finding sales opportunities.
